Among these uses, the steelmaking, foundry and ferroalloy industries are users of ferrosilicon. Together they consume about 90% of the ferrosilicon. Among various grades of ferrosilicon, 75% ferrosilicon is widely used at present. In the steelmaking industry, 3-5 kg of 75% ferrosilicon is consumed per ton of steel produced.
Ferrosilicon is an iron alloy composed of iron and silicon. Ferrosilicon is an iron-silicon alloy smelted in an electric furnace with coke, scrap steel, quartz (or silicon dioxide ) as raw materials. Metallurgical manufacturers provide four grades of ferrosilicon, 75#72#70#65#, with favorable prices, and can provide natural blocks, standard blocks, granules, powders and other processing particle sizes according to customer requirements. Specifications: 0.1mm, 1-3mm, 3-10mm, 10-50mm, 50-100mm or customized Packaging: Waterproof, woven bag ton packaging (1000KG per bag)
65 Ferrosilicon is mainly an iron alloy composed of iron and silicon. Since silicon and oxygen are easily combined into silicon dioxide, ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking. The oxidation reaction itself is an exothermic reaction. Can increase the temperature of molten steel. At the same time, ferrosilicon can also be used as an alloying element additive, which is widely used in low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel and electrical silicon steel. At the same time, ferrosilicon is often used as a reducing agent in ferroalloy production and chemical industry. Standard block: generally 10-100mm. Ferrosilicon particles: 1-3mm, 3-8mm, etc.
It is used as an inoculant and a nodularizing agent in the cast iron industry. Cast iron is an important metal material in modern industry. It is cheaper than steel, easy to melt and smelt, has excellent casting properties and much better shock resistance than steel. Especially ductile iron, its mechanical properties are comparable or close to steel. Adding a certain amount of ferrosilicon to cast iron can prevent the formation of carbides in iron and promote the precipitation and spheroidization of graphite. Therefore, in the production of ductile iron, ferrosilicon is an important inoculant (helps to precipitate graphite) and nodularizer.
